Role: Senior Area Co-ordinator

Annual Salary: £35,000

Weekly hours: 37.50 (Flexibly 24/7 including bank holidays)

Annual Leave: 27 days +8 bank holidays

Location: St Helens & Knowsley area

As part of our ongoing structural development Brothers of Charity Services are looking to provide additional care managerial capacity with the St Helens and Knowsley Area

Job Summary:

To be responsible for the Care, Quality and Compliance of all areas under your responsibility in line with Service Policy and Procedures, reflecting the Mission Statement, Ethos, Vision and Values of Brothers of Charity Services. To act as role model and lead and support the effective development of senior care management skills around ensuring quality and compliance management standards and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To deputise for the Head of Service when required
  • To ensure the rigorous application and monitoring of quality and compliance management standards and inspections in operational care delivery
  • To carry out audits across the Service and provide support for colleagues to ensure care quality and compliance is maintained at all times
  • From time to time - support regional 'critical' friend quality and compliance inspections on other BOCS Service Areas
  • To comply with all standards produced by the Care Quality Commission, Supporting People Framework and local Council Contractual Standards
  • Work within designated compliance and Quality Assurance Frameworks as required by, SP QAF, CQC, CSE, IiP etc
  • In conjunction with your line manager be responsible for the implementation of the service quality and compliance procedures and attend relevant meetings as and when requested

Qualifications Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care
  • Knowledge of all standards set out by the Care Quality Commission, Supporting People Frame work and local Councils
  • Complete all documentation which is legible and produced in a timely manner
  • Check basic finance books
  • Complete work rotas for all staff teams
  • Carry out the risk assessment process
  • Chair meetings
  • Support, mentor and coach staff to achieve successful outcomes
