Care Team Leader – Gloucester & Surrounding area

Full and Part Time Positions Available

£18720 per annum plus on-call payment

Our friendly, quality focused Domiciliary Care client based in Gloucester is now looking to recruit an experienced Care Team Leader with a background in Domiciliary Care and qualified to an NVQ 3 level or equivalent.

You must be a car owner/driver and have good knowledge of the Gloucester area. Our lovely client is looking for a cheerful, approachable, caring knowledgeable person to join their happy team who has an enthusiastic, positive and supportive approach to management. Your role will be working closely with the Deputy Manager, meeting and greeting new service users and matching the right care staff who will deliver excellent care going forward. Experience with carrying out risk assessments, reviews, care plans, liaising with care managers, families, GP services and external agencies is essential . You will also need strong leadership skills, be able to monitor and mentor staff ensuring they deliver a high quality service to service users. Experience with carrying out staff supervisions, holding team meetings and ensuring your staff feel well supported and valued is also essential.

Your role will be varied and rewarding and you will also work in the office updating staff and service user records, possibly assisting with planning care staff rota’s, ensuring excellent communication is a priority with coordinators and office staff as well as care staff. This is a full time position and hours of work weekly are 40, these are flexible in that they will involve some early starts, with some weekend working, generally one weekend in 4 when covering on-call duties. Knowledge of the care standards and have a genuine passion for high quality care is necessary for this role.
