Care Home Manager – Manchester

Salary - Competitive – 35 hours per week

Abbeyfield are a not for profit organisation and we are proud to be celebrating our 60th Year of making time for older people. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Care Home Manager for one of our Care Homes based in the Manchester area.

The main responsibilities will be to manage the home on a day to day basis, ensure that it is compliant to meet the required regulations, provide leadership to all staff and ensure the best use of resources available to meet the needs of the residents.

Working with your staff and others within Abbeyfield, you will also encourage involvement of relatives, friends and the local community to support the home. As the Care Home Manager, you must demonstrate a strong commitment to making time for older people and have a proven track record of providing high quality care in a person-centered way. In addition, being able to demonstrate how you will bring to life Abbeyfields values of caring, openness, honesty and respect.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate proven experience of working in a care home setting as a Manager  and you will have a relevant qualification (Dip.SW, CSS, NVQ4 or equivalent)

You must have relevant experience of managing and supervising staff; planning rota’s; understanding budgets, managing finances and funding streams and working with local agencies to ensure the home maintains full occupancy.
