CAITHNESS DISTRICT INTEGRATED TEAMS
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (BAND 5)
(Salary £22,440 - £29,034)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our team driving forward the re-design of community & hospital health & social care services. You will be working as a core member of the multidisciplinary integrated team across community and hospital settings to facilitate early discharge and to help people live at home or in a homely environment as independently as possible for as long as possible.
The post is based in Wick but will provide services across Caithness with support from experienced occupational therapy colleagues and other healthcare professionals such as District Nurses, Social Workers, AHPs, Community Mental Health and Home Care.
The vision for Caithness District is to provide person centred quality care focussed on targeting and promoting health and maximising independence. A lot of work has been done to shift the balance of care as described in the Scottish Governments 2020 vision, from acute to community services and this post will compliment the patient flow, enablement and community ward development already underway.
If you feel you have the skills, enthusiasm and motivation to help support these exciting developments and to provide the best care for the local population then please get in contact.
This is a permanent full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday in accordance with service requirements.
Informal enquiries would be welcomed by Sarah Budge, OT Professional Lead, Telor Teresa Green/Nikki Mackenzie, East & West Caithness Integrated Team Leads, Tel/mobile (for Teresa) or/mobile (for Nikki).
