We are currently able to offer an exciting development opportunity for a registered mental health nurse to work, continuously gaining knowledge, skills and experience within our mental health team. There will be a supportive development programme in place with the opportunity to become a Band 6 within two years (on achievement of set objectives). Newly qualified staff are encouraged to apply and where appropriate, there will be a relocation package available to the successful candidate.

You will gain skills and experience working collaboratively with working age adults in the community. The client group are people experiencing both acute and complex enduring mental health problems which is often further complicated by other health conditions i.e. ASD, addictions, mild learning disability etc. The postholder will deliver a range of recovery-based approaches whilst developing enhanced skills including clinical risk assessment / management and positive risk taking.

The successful candidate will hold a current valid registration with the NMC. They will have excellent time management skills and be able to demonstrate they have drive, commitment and enthusiasm to work towards developing the skills required to work autonomously as a community mental health nurse within a remote and rural area.

This is a permanent full-time post, working 37.5 hours per week. In addition you are required to participate in an on call rota which includes provision of a place of safety and escort to New Craig's Hospital service in Inverness. A current driving licence is essential for this post and a leased car will be offered to the successful candidate.
