£8.50 per hour - 35 hours per week, including every other weekend.
Abbeyfield are looking to recruit an Activities Co-ordinator to work in their brand new, state of the art Dementia Care Home in Winnersh.
Working as a Activities Co-ordinator for Abbeyfield you will take responsibility for arranging activities within the home, encourage residents to continue to participate in activities they enjoy, coordinate activities for residents and network within the local community.
Support residents within the independent living scheme to maximise their comfort and community living experience within the community maintaining their independence.
Required to develop and deliver a varied and stimulating range of social activities alongside volunteers, designed to meet the needs of each of our residents. You will ensure that all programmes continually meet the needs of each individual resident, reviewing and amending when necessary to changing needs. The role will require you to log evidence on the programme of activities of each resident for monitoring purposes.
Applicants should have previous experience and knowledge of the needs of older people, including people who have dementia. Able to communicate and adapt their relationship across a broad range of stakeholder groups and work flexibly, using their own initiative and within a team. Demonstrate a creative approach to planning activities whilst emphasising and understanding the needs of older people are essential traits.
